I've got a couple of Dexter steers available at the moment if anyone is interested in filling their freezer at reasonable cost. I can arrange butchering if necessary (to your requirements) and just thought that if anyone on here fancied clubbing together, they could divide it up as you like. Each animal will yield in the region of 100kg once cut up for the freezer (one probably above that, one below). I guarantee the eating qualities of the beef, as it has been 100% grass fed from birth, and has had no medications of any kind.

E-mail or PM me if you are interested.

yes sounds good but we have just bought a significant amount of pork so we can't really justify or find room for the beef aswell

Well, hopefully by the back end of this year I will have the facilities in place to get the internet sales online along with card processing facilities, when a minimum order will be about 10kg with a next day delivery option, but certain things, mainly building work (and money), is holding things up at present.

Well I am the proud owner of Rob R's beef and let me tell you it is absolutely delicious! The braising steak melted in the mouth. I have two draws still full of lamb as well as beef and I am saving it for very special occasions. Truly out of this world. Rob's mum is very nice too.....makes a good cup of tea...which I needed after I got lost!!!

Having spoken to the butcher, it will be either available around 16th/17th/18th or the following week 23rd/24th/25th depending upon when he can fit them in- let me know how that sounds.

It would appear that I have orders fullfilled for one, and three quarters are to go to Essex, but there should be more beef available in September, by which time I hope to have full mail order facilities in place (got a clever chap with my website on his agenda ) but I will be doing a similar thing after we get the beef out of the way, with lamb, or more accurately mutton, which will be easier to divide up to send by carrier.

Just to add, I now have just one quarter share left, preferably in the Cambridge to Essex area, to make sure the whole animal goes to one place & then I can deliver it to a specific point. There will be more beef available in September, by which time things should be running smoother & I'll be able to offer lower than half animal quantities. In the meantime, following the beef, in July I may be doing a similar type of promotion with half or whole hoggs for mutton
