it does not help the hamsters but i have discovered that if they are being very slow stopping the page change and then repeating the click of the change after a couple of seconds will restore them to a semblance of health

not a cure or even good mitigation, it might help with diagnostics

the hamsters seem restored to good health, thanks

has any motive and or origin emerged from this bout of infestation?

if they are harvesting data, perhaps we should make them chose/gift wrap some they cannot digest

having observed what a good mil grade flaming can do a few times perhaps the red screen of "illegal operation"doom might be a nice gift to them.
ps i dought they have a good workaround, until it had happened a few times i didn't, what i have is very seat of the pants and best done with an expendable pooter just in case
chances are they would find being flamed more troublesome than being blocked, and probably decide to seek their "prize"elsewhere

alternatively there is the bellingcat option, go for the place/places and persons, especially the latter, chances are they are not seeking publicity. i have a vague idea of the task skills required

ADS need to tidy their ecosystem, somebody pays a bill somewhere, there might provide data regarding motives/persons as well

it seems unlikely we are a "primary target", therefore the motive is probably one of:
general disruption and we are one of many?
data harvest for gain by whatever means?
machine learning?

rather than personal for DS village

the dodgy kitchen folk were easy to displace once multiple disciplines were deployed across the range of stop the messages from delivery to sending journos, trading standards and the fraud squad for a chat
lots of diverse crowdsourced anger sorted that

in the wild west or the wild east, the posse can be effective where there is no law

speeds are a bit variable at the mo, perhaps some of the hamsters are having a relapse

it could be the virus has mutated to a new IP profile, the symptoms seem similar

if it seeks something, mine says click? payload is queen

what is it questing for? or is it just flapping around annoyingly like a loose tarp

i do like the human factor with such things, somewhere somebody started this, lime lighting the shadows might be the way to progress, got any breadcrumbs?

the steam punk server might come out of retirement

umm, persistant but no obvious purpose

is there chat of this particular nest of pests "visiting"other places in nerdworld?

it seems unlikely it is only DS being targeted, the targetting protocols they are using might be educational as to motives and actors
