We went through the New Forest yesterday, and the gorse was a mass of yellow flower. Must smell amazing, but as we were in the car we couldn't smell it. Ended up in Dorset, and the bluebells are starting to form a blue haze over the leaves, although only a few fully in flower yet.

The mare's tail has started poking up in my garden...just leaves not spore heads
Son suffers from that in his garden, but fortunately we have never had it.
There was a great tit around the yard being very vocal and think it might have a nest in a fore end loader frame. There have been other birds nest in there in past years, so wouldn't be surprised.
