Black is my choice as its the only colour I can get away with in work. Other than that I am not really bothered. Functional is my onlyy other priority and colour does not affect functionality!

and you *have* to wear one in that case...also if you are er, "pale and interesting" like me, you look slightly more dead than usual in something bright white.

Mmmmm blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacccccccccccccckkkkk. I hardly ever have any problems choosing what to wear
Or natural.

Actually I do wonder I suppose to dye clothes black requires a lot more nefarious stuff to do so, so I guess maybe I should have picked natural. But I will still spill red wine on it

Fear not - quote from manufacturer:

"All dyes used to colour our garments are azo-free dyes and comply with organic certification requirements"

So you can hide your spills with a clear conscience

I didn't mention it would only be ladies wearing them, being a modern man I wouldn't ask my lady to do anything I wouldn't do.

(Did I hear the mention of downsizer calenders from someone at the back?)

Rather have a recycled paper calender (then put it on the compost heap when finished with ) than a t-shirt, but would think that any colour done with natural dyes (thinging of the compsot heap/raised beds here) would be better,

Ideal: Mr May, done with natural soy inks on recycled paper. But he knows that.............

I am the only person voted for white, but only cos I have to wear them at work. They go horrid after a year or so, so I now replace them annually, and dye them sensible colours for casual wear. Then they go for rags, if they ever wear out.

What about buying natural, and dying them your self, or selling a range of natural dyes. I'd definitly be interested in the white ones. Sportswear is a nightmare, ethically speaking, and any improvement is worth it (I wouldn't buy it if I didn't have to wear it at work)

Not so ww - I voted white too . I stick mainly to white T-shirts because they go with anything and don't go out of date.

I always wash my whites separately, occasionally with a dose of Ecover bleach to brighten them up, and they last for years. Most of my T-shirts are from Racing Green who went out of business ages ago, which is an indicator of their vintage.

These days I'm increasingly bothered by the thought of HOW clothes are produced (pesticides, bleach etc), so would hope to make different choices in future, but for now taking care of my oldies so they last as long as possible seems areasonable compromise.

I would also buy unbleached natural coloured, but there was only one vote

You could start a fresh poll if you like. Might be a good idea to explain when you do what you are trying to find out, theres a difference between 'do you prefer polo shirts or long sleeved shirts generally' and 'if you were buying a specific product in a given circumstance, which option would you prefer'
