Yes, the eggs will be absolutely fine.
The main difference between growers / layers pellets is in the protein content. You may not get quite so many eggs on the growers, but there will be nothing wrong with the eggs they do lay.

If you always and only fed growers the hens would gradually get too fat too lay. Nothing wrong with the eggs they will lay though.

It would be better to feed layers to growers if you were only buying one feed.

im feeding them on growers at the moment because i already had some young birds but got 2 more older hens and now ive got 5 birds and 25kg bag of food lasts a long time so i want to use that first so it dont go out of date

First of all, check the bag label. There is a 50/50 chance that your grower pellets are medicated with an anti-coccidial / coccidiostat.
You may not want to eat the eggs with that in.
Apart from that, you should provide the hens with extra calcium
eg: oystershell or limestone grit as the growers pellets will be short of that compared with layers feed.
If the birds are not having access to lots of green material the egg yolks may be much paler than on layers feed but this will not affect the eggs eating.
