I gave away, last year, an exerciser cycle cum cross ski thingy, very bulky and awkward to handle. Glad to get rid of it.
The man who collected the machine (in a van) barely said thank you.
A few weeks later I saw it for sale (£50) in the local newspaper.
I can't be sure it was the same machine, but this is a small town.
With all the E-Bayers and booters out there, how can you be sure you are not dealing with traders. |
You cannot, but you can choose who to give stuff to, and in a way if you are prepared to give it away does it matter that much anyway? One way or another it goes from scrap to being used |
yeah -the main drawback with a reseller is that they might not have any more succes resellign than you and then dump it!
freecycle rules are that if you post a WANTED you have to declare if you are reseller
If respond to an OFFERED post you must declare you are a reseller if asked by th eperson offering. It is the offering persons responsibility to ask the question!
It is only fair to do this before someone comes to collect though!
Some peole just want to get rid of stuff without dumping, others want to help needy people while doing this, others like to give to charities first. Freecycle can't police this - its up to you
