Hello all!

Just remembered about this forum. I was last here about 8 years ago!!

I've recently got quite enthusiastic about bees, and I'm in Bristol. Looking for some bait hives and frames, and would like to get involved in something local perhaps.

I've just done a rather difficult extraction of a colony at work so I'm on a very steep learning curve

Oh, I've just spotted that the last posts to this subforum were about two years ago.

Guess it's not the hive of activity it once was...?

You should have at least one, if not several beekeeping associations near you. Either try looking for Bristol (or wherever you are) beekeeping association, or try the National Beekeeping Association in search engine and they should be able to direct you. We kept bees in the past, and have a couple of colonies that husband is now looking after a bit, but not been serious since we took up work in the woods because of time and energy constraints.
