i could have put this in grafting, as it is them, but this might be nowt to do with them being youngish grafts

it is rather weird

the rootstocks were in 15lt round tubs, they were planted up into 50 lt rectangular in spring

growth, flowers , a few small fruit followed

fruit shed, massive growth, one is flowering a second time

to normally be group2 flowering and then have an off scale group 6 flowering seems very odd

is it their soil upgrade and relocations ? the weather? or what?

they seem very healthy but confused

any one else's top fruit behaving strangely?

It does happen occasionally even in perfect conditions

ahhh, they might settle by next year thanks, i did not know if i should worry about pestilence, mistreatment or raising freaks every day is a school day

it's been a difficult year for top fruit, here in South Devon - there was load of blossom but not many apples, and they are all very small for this time of year.

Geans and raspberries seem sparse this year..and the birds aren't to blame

We've got bugger all here, it was either pissing down, super windy or both pretty much all through blossom time

ditto, plus my pollinators have been reduced to a tiny fraction of what they were a few years ago, by species and by numbers some are missing, many of the hoverflies and rarer bees have not shown up at all moths are in short supply
