I was thinkig of doing an article along the lines of "Downsizing - it's where your head's at", a sort of development of the "Road to River Cottage" idea but set in the real world, heading towards an 'it's a state of mind' rather than a "the goal is to cut yourself off and you have to share your body warmth with goats in order to survive" sort of thing.

What do you think?

I'm not promising mind and the ETA is November...ish

i'd read it you would be taking a sort of halfway house approach which is all tha a lot of people can do anyway as you say more of a state of mind than anything else aren't you suposed to sleep with goats then? i'll have to move back in and leave the shed to them then i wondered why they were only interested in the duvet as a midnight snack........ and then they wouldn't share properly

Good idea. We seem to get a lot of people on here who feel embarassed that they've not obtained some mythical status, or worse, that they're not doing as "well" as other people, if you could think of some way of reassuring people that it's more about thinking before you act, and just taking the steps that fit in with your life, that would be particularly fab.

Your ETA is around our first anniversary too

- might be one to include or finish up with, comments from a range of members, on what it means to them.

Have you read this book? I'm just over half way through - (oh God that's a DREADFUL PICTURE; let me try and get a smaller version -) (that's better) I'm actually quite enjoying it.
