If you register here and send in Jordans cereal tops they will send a beefriendly lavender or rosemary bush--some bee info as well.

Useful too!

I'm just finishing a bee-keeping course here in France. Have two hives on the way. Am buzzing!

Good Luck---hope your weather's better---I wanted to do a shook swarm today but it's just a bit too chilly and windy on our hill at the moment---but fine enough for the girls to be out and about.

Are you doing the course with a national association type of thing, or on a local level with a group?

It's with the local Mayenne association. 6 lessons. Each 2 hour theory, 2 hour practical (a long Sat afternoon). All for 50€. The course itself is good but better is the membership of the ass., contacts, loan of equipment and the fact you get a buddy to help you. (The French seem very keen on chemicals though!)
