We havea tentative 'move in' date of the 1st week in september.

Ordering the kitchen this week (B&Q) getting the rest of the sanitary ware the week after (again B&Q!!)

Got the loft boarded out last week, we can start moving stuff in for storage.

We now have a water supply but the electricity board are dragging their feet on a connection, at the monet it's the only worry I have, apart from the money ones of course!

Have to build the fireplace over the next week or so, ordered a pallet of reclaimed brick at £150.00 (490 bricks).

Yeah, I'll get some up, internals are all nicely plastered and they are working on the outside, but as the scaoffolding is all still up it's hard to see any difference. Going for a dry dash finish to save on painting.

I wouldn't say I enjoy it, but it's far cheaper than going to a kitchen place or a bathroom centre!

I used to thoroughly enjoy going there. Even used to ask for B&Q vouchers for xmas etc. Now I would be dissappointed with them. On my day off I will go to Wicks rather than B&Q if I need anything, even though I miss out on % discount. sad really but sometimes you just don't want to see work.

The outside was completed today, this is the finish we went for, hope the pictures do it justice. We are really impressed with the workmanship.

Looks absolutely gorgeous JB. Very jealous - I have always wanted a double fronted house. Are you fitting the kitchen yourself?

The joiners are fitting it for £200. Move to Northern Ireland and you can have one! £42k for the site and approx £80k for the build!

Wow that great - It isn't tied in is it? not that I can see anyhow! Bet you want to get it down asap! I was doing some scaffolding last week with my dad - even if the building fell down I bet the scaff would stay up!
