I made Chilli olive oil last year by just dumping whole chillis in the oil and leaving them there.

A few of them got mould growth in the oil (although I still used it all)

Things seem to be working. I would keep going. At least until you think there are enough peppers on an individual plant. It's not really that much effort for the peppery joy is it?

woohoo! all my chilli varieties are now germinated, even the Bhut Jolokia ones. the packet said that germination was erratic and needed temperatures of 28-35C... my ancient but trusty propagator str ...
