Try sewing under a cloche,i always do a couple of rows for an early crop but ths year my direct sewn beets were poor,the cloche grown beets were the only decent beets. |

I would shoot the jackdaws
They need a good culling same as the rooks and crows,only trouble its on my allotment,an early morning shoot might be called for. |

I cant feed my hens inside as the shed isnt big enough so ive got an old fridge with no door on its side as a kind of shelter,it works ok and keeps the feed dry in this bad weather.

I had them on the smallholder pellets but got sucked in by a double bag corn/pellets offer for £15 probably go back to them after these are finished i think.

Egg production has dropped off on the pellets ive got at the moment so im going to have to get something else. |
